Background.
Becoming the second largest private hospital in New Zealand, Braemar Hospital located in Hamilton, is a state-of–the-art modern surgical facility offering some of the most advanced and complex procedures. With an environment which is more similar to a restful hotel, with a healing ambience, rooms are private and well-appointed, all with ensuites. The central Hamilton Campus was built in 2009, and the completion of their recently opened 18-bed Nikau Wing and Whaanau Room, bringing them to 109 beds in total. This milestone is another achievement for the hospital in their 97 years of history. They are also planning the next development on their site beside the Waikato hospital.
The Project.
Needing bedcovers for the new build, Carla Denmead (Hospital Services Manager) approached Jason Walton to see if he could help her with what she was looking for. Jason visited Carla, and after understanding the layout and color scheme of the rooms, recommendations were made, and samples were given to Carla to trial in her rooms. The bedcovers were made with a view to fitting the beds more suitably for Carla’s needs. We also supplied sheeting, toweling and pillows, which were needed to upgrade other departments of the hospital.

Carla had dealt with Vendella previously and enjoyed the experience, so it was the right place and right time when she meet with Jason.
