Claud Switzer is a bright and spacious facility offering residential care for 92 elderly residents in their rest home, hospital and secure dementia unit. Located in Kaitaia, the home is divided into different households, with an aim of providing each area with their own team of care partners (staff). This means residents and staff can get to know each other well. Claude Switzer encourages the residents to participate in doing what they enjoy like cooking and gardening. With dedicated care, the team at Claud Switzer enhances the lives of all residents under their care.
Approximately a year and a half ago, Angelica took over the responsibility of ordering products for the home. She in charge of maintaining a steady inventory for the care home. This includes ensuring a constant supply of essential items like pillows, bedding and towelling.
When Tina Mills was appointed CEO, she was already familiar with Vendella’s services from her previous experience at another facility. Vendella products were already being utilised at Claud Switzer but they were in a worn-out condition and in need of refurbishment and upgrades. Angelica got on to this straight away and over the last three years Claud Switzer has been refurbished with Vendella products across seven product ranges.
