The James Cook Grand Chancellor chose Vendella for our sustainable focus, and passionate environmental standpoint. Vendella offer quality products that aligned with their sustainable focus, this included products from our Dream Green range with microfiber fill made from recycled bottles.
With our fit-for-purpose dispatch centre, Vendella were able to hold stock for James Cook and dispatch the goods when required. This made the refurbishment project much more efficient.
BACKGROUND
Located in the heart of the capital city in a unique thoroughfare between iconic Wellington streets Lambton Quay and The Terrace, the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor is an iconic 269-room luxury accommodation and venue provider. Having been fully refurbished over a period of two years, the twenty-six level hotel offers a variety of rooms catering to travelling professionals, families, and those looking for a weekend getaway. Being a busy hotel, it had grown a little tired over the years and needed a revamp, and this is where Vendella came in to provide our services.
THE PROJECT
Needing a full refurbishment, the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor came to Vendella looking for bedding and other in-room items. Having purchased a lot of these items previously, the team at the James Cook knew Vendella had the product range that they required for their refurbishment. We were able to provide a very efficient install program which made the entire project run smoothly, and remaining in contact as to rising costs led to Vendella offering the James Cook team to purchase the stock earlier, and we were able to hold it for them in our warehouse and dispatch the goods as and when required.
PROBLEMS WE SOLVED / REASONS FOR PARTNERING WITH VENDELLA
There were no high-pressure sales, just solid advice as to the right product for their property. We provided them with the exact product they were looking for, that was still great value for money and the right quality to withstand the rigors of a commercial hotel environment. Our environmental and sustainability standpoint was also important to the James Cook team, meaning that they were able to align their own sustainability goals with our own and this was an important reason for partnering with us. Another reason for choosing Vendella was they knew they could relax, knowing full well that we had the refurbishment under control from the beginning to completion.
