Background.
The McCallum Residence is a 9-room boutique, bespoke private accommodation venue, Based in Clevedon, Auckland. The property is a historical masterpiece. It is the original McCallum family home, passed down through 5 generations of the McCallum family. Set amongst picturesque gardens with private beach access, the McCallum Residence is undeniably a property of space, privacy, and luxury.
Positioned on a private beach and refurbished and restored in 2018, the two-story heritage building houses a range of three-room types. This property particularly caters to groups wanting a private weekend away, or those wanting to indulge in charm and character of yesteryear. In line with this, The McCallum Residence dons a private Butler to help you with all your needs.
Grandfathers @888 is located on the same estate, perched on a private peninsula overlooking the ocean. This six-bedroom suite sleeps 12. Guests can expect a wonderful stay with large open living areas and classy, old-fashioned decor. Alongside this, Grandfathers @888 dons a full-size snooker table, spa pool, and golf chipping greens.
The Project.
Dan, the Butler of the property, made contact with Vendella when the property had been restored to its former glory. The team needed guidance after the decision was made to turn the property into bespoke accommodation. Jim Boakes, an Account Manager here at Vendella, worked with Dan to help him understand our textile and furnishing offering.
Jim visited Dan at the property, so he could understand the accommodation offering. Dan had asked for guidance and suggestions on how to furnish the property, so the trip had mutual benefit. Upon arrival, bedding samples of our luxury products were provided.. In addition to this, the fine art of dressing beds was explained. This expert advice and knowledge was very valuable and helpful to the team.
