Sudima Christchurch Airport is a conveniently located hotel right at the Christchurch International Airport, making it an ideal base for travelers exploring the South Island. With 246 well-appointed rooms, including various types of suites, the hotel recently underwent extensive refurbishment and expansion. It now features a new lobby, upgraded restaurant and bar, fitness center, meeting rooms, and two superior accommodation wings. The hotel takes pride in its commitment to sustainability, winning awards for its eco-friendly efforts. It’s a renowned 4.5-star award-winning hotel, suitable for both leisure and corporate guests. After serving as an MIQ facility during the pandemic, the hotel was fully refurbished and reopened to the public in June 2022.
The Project.
After being used as an MIQ facility, Sudima Christchurch Airport required a complete overhaul before reopening to the public. Vendella, a trusted supplier, had a long-standing relationship with Sudima Hotels. Marty Brodie, the account manager at Vendella, collaborated closely with Maree Welgus (Hotel Manager of the group) and Rakesh to ensure a successful project. Vendella organised orders into room kits and staggered deliveries to support the room setup process effectively.
