Background.
The Eastern Institute of Technology – Te Pūkenga Student Village, located across the road from the Hawke’s Bay Campus, offers a wonderful opportunity for living as part of a student community and for establishing friendships with others who have varied interests and backgrounds. The village is a self-catering complex, comprising of 12 villas, which is able to house six students in each. Each student has their own tastefully and comfortable furnished bedroom, however students share the living and kitchen facilities in each villa.
The Project.
When the Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) Student Village needed student accommodation kits, Vendella stepped in to provide a tailored solution. Jason,Client Relations Manager, visited the Student Village to understand their specific requirements. This hands-on approach helped ensure the kits would meet the needs of both the staff and students.
Vendella provided a no-charge sample for EIT staff to assess the suitability of the items for their students. Based on their feedback, the kits were finalized and designed to save staff time and effort. Unlike individually sourced and repacked items, Vendella’s kits arrived pre-packaged in neat, presentable boxes, streamlining the process for the staff and creating a professional impression for incoming students.

How did Vendella make it easy for EIT?
Most residents who arrive at the village have come from overseas, arriving after a lengthy long-haul flight, and usually never having been in New Zealand before. To make their arrival welcoming they are provided with the pack of brand new, comfortable bedding and towels at a time when a hot shower and a comfy bed are a priority. It was crucial to make the purchasing for the project easy and seamless. We were able to hold their orders and dispatch them when they needed the goods, there was no stress involved.
